Our Mission
At The Family Mortgage Team, we believe a strong community is built when people support one another through life’s toughest moments.
That’s why we’re proud to partner with the LeaderOne Lending a Hand Foundation—a charitable organization created to provide financial assistance to individuals and families facing unexpected hardships. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a devastating accident, a natural disaster, or another life-changing event, the Foundation exists to help families stay secure when they need it most.
More Than Mortgages
Helping families achieve homeownership is what we do every day. But our commitment doesn’t stop at the closing table.
As part of our mission to serve the Marietta and Metro Atlanta communities, we’re dedicated to helping people not only purchase homes, but remain in them during difficult times. The Lending a Hand Foundation provides temporary financial relief so families can focus on healing, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.
Funded by LeaderOne Financial and supported by employees, partners, and supporters, the Lending a Hand Foundation provides grants of up to $5,000 to assist with mortgage or rent payments for qualifying individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
Assistance may be available for those facing circumstances such as:
- Loss of an immediate family member
- Fire, flood, tornado, or other natural disasters
- Serious accidents, disabilities, or medical hardships
- Unexpected emergencies creating financial distress
- Other unforeseen life events that threaten housing stability
The Foundation seeks to support LeaderOne clients, employees, referral partners, affiliates, and members of the communities we serve. If you or someone you know is experiencing a significant financial hardship, we encourage you to explore available assistance.
The application process is simple:
- Complete the grant application.
- Provide a written explanation of your circumstances.
- Submit supporting documentation.
- The Foundation committee will review the application and notify you of its decision.
Giving back has always been part of who we are. Through our Easy Giving Program and our support of numerous local and national charitable organizations, The Family Mortgage Team is committed to making a positive impact beyond home financing. The Lending a Hand Foundation is another way we’re able to extend that commitment and help families find hope during challenging times.

In addition, our branch of the company, The Family Mortgage Team has implemented a system of giving that will ensure a consistent and sustained effort by narrowing our focus to the organizations that hold special meaning for us and our “Family,” and which have been selected after careful consideration and research into the way their charitable funds are allocated.
We call our effort the Easy Giving program. Our hope is that you will take the time to visit and learn more about these incredible charitable organizations, and that our combined giving efforts will result in a better, more responsible world!
Since our program launched in 2003, we are proud to have donated over $150,000 collectively to these wonderful organizations.
